Lady Samurai: Jeanna Tripp

Did you know that the term "Samurai" actually means "one who serves"? Did you also know that it encompassed both men and women who fit into the "Bushi" (i.e. warrior) class in Feudal Japan? Did you know that "Samurai Women" were so proficient in battle that the Naginata (or "curved bladed spear") was actually called "the woman's sword" (see image below for a samurai woman holding a Naginata)?

Well, we have now added a Lady Samurai to our Life Mission staff, and i am pleased to introduce you to Jeanna Tripp, who will be coming on board as our new Administrative Assistant! Jeanna brings some exceptional strengths to the table as an administrator, and will be working directly alongside Jack and Rob to ensure that everyday details are executed with precision and excellence. Her first official day will be Wednesday, July 19th, and we are already preparing for her arrival on staff.

Before joining the GCC staff, Jeanna worked for Oaklawn as their Team Leader for Traditional Foster Care, and coordinated over 300 foster care families and an annual budget of over $300,000.00. Jeanna has also been involved with GCC's Oasis Middle School ministry, and went to India on a GCC short-term mission team last August (2005). She attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and graduated with a degree in Bible. She is pleasant in demeanor and focussed in her attentions, and we believe that she will make an incredible addition to our team as we seek to serve you and facilitate the ministries in which we are involved as we bring about the Kingdom of God!

What She'll Be Doing Next:
* Making sure that all of our communication, paperwork, digital systems and protocols flow as they are supposed to do.
* Providing support for teams, events, projects and pretty much everything else that we do around here.
* Making sure that Rob and Jack keep their promises :-)
* Helping us to help YOU!!!
