It's All About You... No, Really!

Crew! You know how we're always saying, "It's not about us... it's about Jesus!"? Well, that's true... it is. Except on Friday, March 31st from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at GCC, we're going to change things a little bit. You see, while we would all agree that it is ultimately "all about Jesus", the reality is that everything we do for Jesus wouldn't happen without YOU!!! So we want to have an opportunity to thank you and your teams, and the staff and entire church are going all out on that evening to do so.

Here's the scoop:
* "All Because of You" - The Theme of the evening is "All Because of You", and yes, the U2 song reference is intended. And yes, the GCC Staff Band will be playing it. And Yes, air-guitarring in the audience will be both allowed and encouraged.
* "But what will i wear?" - The "tone" of the evening is Red Carpet. Yup. Really. Think "Schwanky Cocktail Party"... without the cocktails... but WITH great food (not a sit-down dinner, but killer finger food), so you'll want to Put on the Ritz.
* "The Ringmaster!" - Mark Beeson will be MC'ing the evening, and there will be formal recognition of ministries and individuals who are serving in various capacities.
* "The Dope Bootleg Prize Menu" - There will be some straight-up awesome gifts given during the evening that simply will not be given out at any other time. If volunteers are not present on that evening, they will not be able to get them. The copies are limited and there will be no duplication (sounds like DVDs doesn't it? I'd confirm that except that they're even keeping it a secret from the staff who "doesn't need to know"). I don't know what it is, but they promised that we'd all want them.

So... here's what we need from you:

* We need you there! Your contributions as leaders is absolutely priceless. Seriously, your impact is valued and appreciated far beyond anything you will ever imagine or fully understand, i assure you. But this evening is just one little way that we'd like to give you a "glimpse of Heaven" and have the opportunity for people who value your ministry to tell you such personally and corporately.

* But this isn't just for you guys as leaders. It's for everyone on your teams and everyone who serves with you. It's the opportunity we've all been looking for where Mark Beeson and the staff of GCC and people who are impacted in various ways by the minsitries that you and your teams engage have a chance to look you and your team members in the eye personally and corporately to say "well done"! As a result, we need for you to make sure that everyone from your teams who is capable of being there is there. Seriously, this is going to be a massive scale event... red carpet and the whole nine yards, and there is significant energy being poured into the event to let them know how much their sacrifices matter. If they're not there, how can they be thanked and recognized?

We'll be continuing to do some things to help you. Rob and i will be e-mailing, Voice-shotting, blogging, and mentioning the event continually from now until the event, but it will be up to you to make sure that your teams know about it and are planning it into their calendars.

We're excited about it, and can't wait to see you there, so mark your calendars and plan to have a blast!
