Willow Creek Leadership Summit 2005

Willow Creek Leadership Summit 2005

Every year for the last several years, GCC has hosted an on-site simulcast of Willow Creek Community Church's annual "Leadership Summit" in its auditorium. This year (2005), from August 11 - 13, we will be gathering again to hear a phenomenal line up of speakers and have the opportunity to interact with one another about what we learn as well.

As a valued member of the Life Mission Leadership Team, we would like to invite you to attend this event to sharpen your "Leadership Katanna" and gain a better edge on your ministry and life. If you would like to come, there will be no charge to you, but we must know ahead of time in order to secure your place.

This year, the line up of all-star speakers includes the following individuals:
Bill Hybels is senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois. The author of Courageous Leadership and The Volunteer Revolution, Bill travels internationally and speaks on topics related to the local church.
Rick Warren is founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, and author of the best-selling books The Purpose-Driven Life, The Purpose Driven Church, and the widely acclaimed church series, 40 Days of Purpose.
Eleanor Josaitis is the chief executive officer of Focus: HOPE, a development organization she co-founded in the aftermath of the 1967 Detroit riots, pledging to use “intelligent and practical action to overcome racism, poverty, and injustice.”
Curtis Sliwa is the Founder and President of The Guardian Angels, an all-volunteer organization of 5,000. Curtis' work with neighborhood watch, school safety, and crime prevention programs has been recognized nationally for the past 25 years.
Mosa Sono is the founder and senior pastor of Grace Bible Church in Soweto, South Africa. A congregation of over 8,000, it is recognized internationally for its church planting and empowerment of previously disadvantaged communities.
Ken Blanchard is a prominent speaker and consultant, and is co-author of The One Minute Manager. He holds a PhD in Education Leadership from Cornell University and is chief spiritual officer of The Ken Blanchard Companies.

John Maxwell is a dynamic speaker and best-selling author of more than 30 books, including The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. He also leads a variety of training events designed to develop leaders of excellence and integrity.

Colleen Barrett is president of Southwest Airlines and oversees the management and leadership of its 35,000 employees. She was named one of America's Top 50 Leaders by Fast Company Magazine.
Jack Groppel is an authority in the science of human performance, helping professionals fully engage in high stress environments. He is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University’s K.L. Kellogg School of Management.
Henry Cloud is a clinical psychologist who speaks internationally on biblical models of personality functioning and character growth. His many books include Boundaries, Changes that Heal, and How People Grow.
